ENGLISH VERSION

Tutools-Halo Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: August 27, 2026 · Applies to the Microsoft Store version of Tutools-Halo

1. Summary

Tutools-Halo is a Windows lyrics and device controller for Halo PixelBar. It does not require an account, contain advertising, build advertising profiles, or automatically send playback history, lyrics, Halo device serial numbers, telemetry, or crash reports to the developer. Updates for the Microsoft Store version are managed by Microsoft Store, and this version does not report install or update statistics to the developer's update service.

2. Local processing and storage

To synchronize lyrics and control your device, Tutools-Halo may locally read the current track title, artist, album, playback state and position, Windows media sessions, selected player windows and process state, and local player lyric or playlist caches. You may also select a local LRC file.

The app enumerates compatible USB HID devices and locally processes device paths, VID/PID values, product names, serial numbers when supplied by the device, connection state, volume, lighting, and screen state. Lyrics, text, lighting, and scene commands are sent to your Halo PixelBar over the local USB connection.

Preferences, rotating diagnostic logs, imported fonts, and scene preview or resource caches are usually kept under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Tutools-Halo for the current Windows user. Logs may contain error details, player names, song identifiers, or device interface paths, but are not uploaded automatically.

3. Network services

  • NetEase online metadata and lyrics requests send the current song ID to music.163.com. They do not send your NetEase password, cookies, local lyric files, or Halo device information.
  • The app may request the public supporter list from update.xinshentu.top. The request does not contain songs, lyrics, device information, or log content.
  • If a selected scene resource is unavailable locally, the app may download that resource from edifier-provider-oss.edifier.com when you use the scene.
  • Feedback and other external links open in your browser. If you submit feedback, the developer service receives the selected product, category, feedback text, optional contact information, and submission processing timestamps. The app does not automatically attach local lyrics, logs, or device information.

Remote requests use HTTPS. Local player integrations such as LX Music use only a loopback address. Remote services may receive standard network information such as your IP address, request time, and User-Agent and process it under their own policies. The Microsoft Store version does not use the developer's install-reporting, update-reporting, self-update manifest, or installer-download endpoints.

4. Sharing, retention, and your choices

Tutools-Halo does not sell or rent your data. Local settings, logs, and caches remain on your device until you clear or delete them. You may stop lyric transmission, use a local LRC file, avoid a player that requires online lyrics, reset the TempoHub source to clear decoded scene previews, and inspect local logs. To remove local settings, logs, imported fonts, and caches completely, exit the app and manually delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\Tutools-Halo. Data held by a third-party service is governed by that service's privacy and account tools.

5. Feedback, changes, and contact

Tutools-Halo opens feedback and external pages only when you choose to do so and does not automatically attach lyrics, logs, or device information. Information you voluntarily enter is used to handle your feedback. This policy may be updated as features or legal requirements change. Privacy questions can be submitted through the Tu Tools feedback page or by email to xinshentu@gmail.com. You may also use that email to request deletion or hiding of information you voluntarily submitted through the feedback or supporter forms.
